It's a small world

Today, I went to Disneyland with a few girls from my moms' meetup group. While we were in line for Dumbo, I saw a kid ahead of us who looked very much like my cousin who lives in Phoenix. I figured it wouldn't hurt, so I called out his name. Imagine my surprise when he actually turned around! He was there with his little sister and his mom and dad, which happens to be my most favorite uncle, who I never get to see. They came out from Phoenix yesterday and are spending the weekend here. I was so excited to see them! I ended up ditching my friends and hanging out with them for the rest of the day. I mean, of all the days to go to Disneyland, and of all the lines to be standing in, I happened to be there at the same place at the same time as my family from out of town, so weird!

Poor Owen never took a nap while we were there, so he fell asleep in the car on the way home. I got him home, fed, and bathed, and then he grabbed his bubba (a little blanket) and said "shhh," which is his way of saying he wants to go to sleep (it's from Sandra Boynton's book "Pajama Time!"), at 7:35. Steve and my brother are at a hockey game tonight, so I have the evening to myself, heavenly!

Owen got to meet a lot of his Disney friends! Tigger:

I'm so glad you got a chance to spend time with your family while they were in town!
