20 months old

Owen is 20 months old today! I can't believe he'll be 2 in just a few short months!

At 20 months, Owen:

* Is still my picky eater
* Loves chicken and rice, but only from El Pollo Loco, and it has to be in the EPL bowl
* Loves all fruit and Fig Newtons
* Loves yogurt
* Only eats Fruity Cheerios
* Will not eat vegetables, meat, cheese, or pasta
* Sleeps from 8-8:30 or 9
* Takes a 2-3 hour nap during the day
* Got his first major illness - pneumonia
* Has been throwing some lovely tantrums lately
* Has been to the naughty chair once
* Tries to jump by bending his legs and then just walking forward
* Can stack an 8-10 block tower
* Can put toothpicks into small holes
* Can scoop marbles into a dish using a melon baller
* Has started scowling at strangers when they talk to him
* Hates being on his changing table
* Loves bathtime
* Loves playing with balls and rolling them down the hallway
* Loves books, and his favorites are Go Dog, Go!; Blue Hat, Green Hat; Pajama Time!; and Hey, Wake Up!
* Loves Signing Time, The Wonder Pets, Wow Wow Wubbzy, Blue's Clues, and WordWorld
* Learned the following animal sounds - owl, rooster
* Learned the following signs this month - shoes, socks, train, my turn, book, yes, no, apple, cookie, banana, cheese, ice cream, candy, help, hot, cold, sun, moon, stars, boy, grass, rain, hat
* Learned the following words - up, Wonder Pets (dee det), help, feet, cake
* Prefers to use signs over some words (hence learning so many signs and so few words this month, but will sign and say "help")
* Says "what's that" and "oh, look at that"
* Wears 18-24mo clothes, and 2T shirts
* Wears a size 6 shoe
* Wears a size 4 diaper
